The Effects of Cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2D6 Inhibitors on the Metabolism of Codeine to its Active Metabolites in Patients With Chronic Pain

Millennium Research Institute (MRI) collaborated with the University of California San Diego (UCSD) PharmD students from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to present this research at the 28th annual meeting of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) in Palm Springs, CA on February 24, 2012.

These research posters are on a variety of topics related to the metabolism of prescription medications commonly used in the treatment of those with chronic pain. This information directly correlates with the efficacy of pain medication in individual patients as well as addressing drug-drug interactions.
